Woman cheated of Rs 19.78 lakhs for superbike
Pune – A 23-year-old woman was duped by three persons to the tune of Rs 19.78 lakhs under pretext of buying a superbike for her.
Arjoo Lokhandwala of Kalyaninagar has lodged an FIR with Khadki police station against Satyendra Sharadchandra Karandikar, Gitanjali Sharadchandra Karandikar and Sharadchandra Karandikar, all from Kalyaninagar.
According to police, the accused are partners of SNK Bajaj. They had promised to buy Kawasaki superbike at discount for Lokhandwala. The cost of the was Rs 19.78 lakhs. Accordingly, she had taken Rs 11 lakhs loan and also paid remaining Rs 8.78 lakhs. However the accused persons didnt buy the superbike for her.
The incident took place between January and December last year.
