Pune Railway Department’s Ticket Inspection Drive on Pune-Daund Section, 1,317 Ticketless Passengers Fined

Pune 21st Oct 023: In an effort to ensure the convenience of genuine passengers, the Pune Railway Department conducted a special ticket inspection drive on Friday, in the Pune – Daund section. Various Mail and Express passenger trains were thoroughly inspected, with a specific focus on Pune Station, resulting in a successful campaign.

During this initiative, 64 ticket inspection staff actively participated, inspecting passengers on multiple trains. A total of 1317 passengers traveling without valid tickets were identified. Consequently, fines amounting to more than Rs 11,38,000 were collected from the offenders.

Such stringent ticket inspection drives are set to continue regularly in the future. The initiative aims to maintain the pleasant travel experience for genuine passengers and ensure that those traveling without proper tickets are duly penalized, said officials. The department emphasizes the importance of passengers obtaining valid tickets before their journey to avoid any inconvenience. Passengers are urged to travel responsibly, acquire appropriate tickets, and cooperate with the railway authorities during ticket inspections to promote a hassle-free and lawful travel environment.
