Pune : Citizens Of Several Societies In Pimpri Chinchwad Await Piped Cooking Gas Despite Completing Formalities

Chinchwad, 16th October 2023 : Residents in the Chinchwad And Dange Chowk area have voiced growing frustrations regarding Maharashtra Natural Gas Limited (MNGL) pipeline issues, citing a lack of satisfactory customer care services and challenging communication avenues.
Multiple residents have lodged complaints about the difficulties they face when attempting to reach MNGL and have expressed their dissatisfaction with the customer service experience. Civic issues surrounding MNGL gas connections have further amplified these concerns.
Amol Bhanage, the chairman of Tanishq Icon Society in Dange Chowk, highlighted their ongoing struggle to secure an MNGL connection. Despite submitting a list of members and a No Objection Certificate (NOC), the society has faced a significant delay in the process. Continuous follow-ups with the MNGL officer in Wakad have yielded no results, and attempts to contact MNGL have gone unanswered. The chairman explained that they submitted the NOC and the list of society members on the 6th of September 2023, with the assurance from MNGL that pipeline work would commence before Ganesh Chaturthi. However, these promises remain unfulfilled, and society’s efforts to contact MNGL have proven futile.
MNGL authorities revealed that road digging was required to lay the pipeline, and due to the rainy season, they have yet to receive permission from PCMC to proceed.
Saket Bhagat, the secretary of the Oriental Marble Society in Chinchwad, added to the list of complaints, noting their two-year-long struggle for an MNGL connection. Despite numerous complaints on Twitter and relentless follow-ups, their work remains incomplete. Attempts to communicate with MNGL and state government authorities have proven fruitless.
According to MNGL, permission from an adjacent society named Goyal Garima was granted for the pipeline near Oriental Society, but Oriental provided their consent only six months ago. The pending work includes member registration, meter fitting, and other minor tasks. MNGL has assured them that the registration process will begin in the coming week.
Saket Bhagat, the secretary of the Oriental Society, expressed his dissatisfaction, saying, “I don’t think the work has been completed, and it’s challenging to communicate with MNGL.”
These complaints underscore the importance of efficient communication and timely resolution of issues, particularly when it comes to essential services like gas connections. Residents are left frustrated and seeking better communication channels with MNGL to address their concerns effectively.
