According to sources, the illegal trade was conducted under the guise of a legitimate business. Sheet sheds were erected in an area surrounded by bushes in Midgulwadi. When questioned by local villagers, the individuals involved claimed they were manufacturing finials for floor cleaning.

The accused are reportedly from Mumbai and Andhra Pradesh. While Alprazolam is a medication commonly used to treat insomnia, sources indicate that it was being used for illicit drug manufacturing.

In a separate operation in Pimpalgaon, Narayangaon, 26 kg of Alprazolam was seized. The accused in this case remains at large. Narayangaon Police have confirmed NCB’s involvement and actions. The location of this operation was a shed owned by a local farmer along Vadgaon Sahani road, which had been rented to an individual from Junnar.

The NCB received a tip-off that narcotics were being produced at this location and acted accordingly.
