Pune: Pedestrian Killed After Hit By PMPML In Bhosari, Driver Booked
Pimpri Chinchwad 13th Oct 2023: A 26-year-old pedestrian has lost his life after he was hit by a Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) in Bhosari area of the city on Tuesday. The PMPML driver has been booked in the matter following a complaint by the deceased’s relative.
According to police, the deceased identified as Angad Achhelal Turha (26), a resident of Gopalganj, Bihar was walking on the Pune-Nashik Highway in Bhosari when he was hit by a speeding PMPML bus. He sustained serious injuries in the accident and was rushed to the hospital for treatment but the doctors declared him dead.
The deceased youth’s uncle has lodged a complaint against the PMPML driver at Bhosari Police Station. Accordingly, the police have booked the driver under sections 304 (a) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) along with sections 119/117 of the Motor Vehicle Act. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
