Pune : Four Injured In Tree Collapse Incident In Kothrud, One Sustained Serious Injuries
Kothrud 7th Oct 2023: In a tragic incident reported near Dashbhuja Ganpati Temple in Kothrud earlier today, four people sustained injuries while one of them was rushed to hospital for treatment. The fire brigade team was immediately rushed to the spot for help.
According to the officials of the fire brigade department of the Pune Municipal Corporation, the incident was reported at around 9:15 am. A huge tree collapsed on an auto rickshaw in which the driver and other three persons were injured. “One of the injured sustained head and leg injuries and he was rushed to the Sassoon General Hospital for treatment while others were stable and they were provided first aid on the spot” said an official from the fire brigade team.
A firefighting vehicle from Erandwane Fire Station was rushed to the spot for help. The tree branches have been cut and removed from the road to open it for vehicular movement and the situation was under control, said an official.
