Pune: Mokshada Choudhary Clinches Silver in Fencing at Khelo MP Youth Games
Bhopal, 7th October 2023: In a significant boost to youth sports, the Khelo MP Youth Games concluded in Bhopal on October 3, featuring a range of athletic events across various locations. Among the standout performances was Mokshada Choudhary, a student from Delhi Public School, Pune, who clinched a silver medal in the Sabre style of fencing. The event took place at TT Nagar Stadium in Bhopal.
Representing the central zone, Choudhary showcased her skills against stiff competition. The gold medal was secured by Richa from Bhopal, while the bronze went to Divya from Gwalior.
Mokshada Choudhary is the daughter of a serving Colonel in the Indian Army. She has been pursuing fencing for the past three years and has been rigorously training in Pune. Her recent accomplishments include a gold medal in the Maharashtra Zila Parishad School competition held at Nehru Stadium, Swargate, last month.
Choudhary’s commitment to the sport is unparalleled. She plans to travel to Paris next year for specialized training and aspires to represent India in the Olympics one day.
The Khelo MP Youth Games serve as a platform to promote sports among school and college students, aiming to identify and nurture young talent across various disciplines.
