Pune: Government Hostel Roof Collapse Injures Student In Wakad

Wakad, 6th October 2023: A part of the roof at a government hostel in Wakad collapsed, resulting in an injury to a student. The incident occurred on Thursday evening around 6:30 p.m.

According to the fire brigade, the hostel, which is meant for tribal girls, is located in Kaveri Nagar, Wakad. A section of the ceiling in room no. 27 on the fourth floor of the hostel suddenly collapsed. Tragically, it fell on Anita Genu Pathve, who was standing beneath it at the time. As a result of the incident, Anita sustained an injury to her forehead, requiring two stitches.

Upon receiving the information, the fire brigade’s team from the Rahatani fire brigade sub-station in Wakad swiftly arrived at the scene. After receiving the necessary treatment, Anita was later taken to her sister’s residence in Bhosari.
