Ganesh Visarjan Procession Concludes In Pune After 28 Hours And 40 Minutes Of Celebration
Pune 29th Sept 2023: Despite Pune City Police assuring to conclude the ganesh visarjan procession early this year, the procession has taken the second longest period to conclude in the last seven years. The city police’s request to ganesh mandals to finish the visarjan early this year failed to get a positive response.
According to officials, the immersion procession this year took 28 hours and 40 minutes which is the second longest period taken for visarjan in the last seven years in Pune. Highest time to conclude the procession was taken last year when it was concluded in 31 hours. Though the manache ganpati ganesh mandals and Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai ganpati had concluded their immersions early this year, the other ganesh mandals delayed the procession and it continued till today afternoon. The long queues of ganesh mandals on TIlak Road and Laxmi Road were visible till Friday afternoon.

2016 : 28 Hours 30 Minutes
2017 : 28 Hours 05 Minutes
2018 : 27 Hours 15 Minutes
2019 : 24 Hours
2020 And 2021 : No Processions Due to COVID Pandemic
2022 : 31 Hours
2023 : 28 Hours 40 Minutes
