Pune: Landslide Reported In Pabe Ghat For Second Consecutive Day, Traffic Movement Disrupted

Pune, 24th Sept 2023: A day after landslide incident reported in the Pabe Ghat on Friday, another incident was reported in the same area on Saturday, The area has been witnessing a good rainfall for the last two days due to which the officials have alerted the commuters to take precautions while travelling from the ghat area.

The road connecting Khanapur-Ranjane witnessed landslides on both Friday and Saturday. As a result the vehicular movement on this route was disrupted and the villagers had to face problems. The ghat also connects villages around Sinhagad, Torna and Rajgad Fort. The rescue teams along with equipment and JCB machines were called to remove the debris and the road was opened for vehicular movement later.

However, the officials said that during the heavy rain landslide incidents often occur on this stretch due to which the rescue teams have been put on alert and the citizens have been also advised to take precautions.
