Pune: PMC Conducts Anti-Encroachment Drive In Mundhwa, Yewalewadi And Ghorpadi

Pune 21st Sept 2023: The Pune Municipal Corporation’s Anti-Encroachment department on Thursday conducted an anti-encroachment drive in several areas of the city including Yewalewadi, Mundhwa and Ghorpadi and a government land of over 53,000 square feet was vacated during the drive.

According to officials, the extensive demolition of structures built by encroaching on government land was vacated during the action. A total of 44,244,.13 square feet of land was vacated in the Yewalewadi area and the demolition was conducted at three properties in the zone. Similarly. a total of 9,599 square feet of land was vacated in Mundhwa and Ghorpadi areas by demolishing illegal structures at multiple places.

The Pune Municipal Corporation had yesterday conducted a similar drive one the Fergusson College road and the demolition was conducted at a few renowned hotels including Vaishali Hotel in the area. The civic officials have urged the citizens to remove their encroachment in different parts of the city.
