Pune Police Conducts Route March In Kondhwa Amidst Multiple Religious Festivals

Kondhwa, 16th September 2023: In a proactive measure to maintain law and order during a convergence of religious festivals, the Kondhwa Police Station successfully executed a comprehensive riot control plan and route march.
The operation led by Senior Police Inspector Santosh Sonawane, aimed to ensure the safety and security of the public amidst the celebration of upcoming religious festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi and Eid-e-Milad.
The planned riot control exercise commenced earlier in the day and involved 30 officers and personnel from various departments. The team conducted a route march through key areas within the police station’s jurisdiction to monitor and maintain a peaceful atmosphere during the festivals.
The Kondhwa police took out a ‘route march’ in the area. In this, Pratibhatai Pawar School, Lakshminagar, Ambedkarnagar, Dashrath Maral Chowk were held for the first round. Then Pratibhatai Pawar School, Bhagwa Chowk, Swaraj Chowk, Aisha Masjid, Lane No. 6, Laxmi Nagar Lane No. 7, Lady Phase Unisa School and ended at Pratibhatai School.
Earlier the route march covered important landmarks, starting from Ashirwad Chowk and passing through Satyanand Hospital, Badshah Nagar Society, Konark Pooram Society, Bhairavanath Temple, Bhimnagar, Narveer Tanaji Malusare Chowk, Jyoti Hotel Chowk, and ICICI Bank, among others. The march concluded at 7:30 p.m., ensuring a visible police presence in the community.
Inspector Sandeep Bhosale, who heads the Crime (1) division, played a crucial role in supervising the riot control plan and route march. Under his guidance, officers and officials received thorough training and instructions to maintain peace and harmony during the festivities.
Senior Police Inspector Sonawane expressed his satisfaction with the day’s proceedings, emphasizing the importance of proactive measures to ensure the safety of the community during significant religious events.
After the route march, all officers and police personnel reconvened at Kondhwa Police Station for a debriefing session, marking the successful conclusion of this operation.
The Kondhwa Police Station’s efforts reflect their commitment to maintaining law and order while respecting and accommodating the diverse religious celebrations that mark India’s cultural tapestry.
