Pune: Dehu Road Police Arrest Culprits Behind 11 Stolen Bikes

Dehuroad, 11th September 2023: In a significant crackdown on motorcycle theft, the Dehuroad police successfully arrested two individuals, identified as Amrat Deshmukh and Farukh Sheikh, both hailing from the Beed district of Maharashtra.

The accused had commited a series of thefts resulting in the disappearance of 11 motorcycles. Their modus operandi involved parking the stolen bikes at a money transfer centre, where they would subsequently execute a scam by extracting money from unsuspecting victims.

This operation was carried out under the orders of Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner Vinaykumar Choube, who had instructed the Dehuroad Police to investigate the matter thoroughly.

The efforts of the Dehuroad Police led to the apprehension of the accused from their place of residence, showcasing their intelligence and resourcefulness in tracking down the criminals. The stolen motorcycles, valued at approximately Rs 8 lakhs, were recovered from various locations, including Dehu Road, Hinjawadi, Sangvi, Alandi, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, and Ahmednagar.
