Pune : SPPU To Get 111 New Professors, Recruitment To Start Soon
Pune 11th Sept 2023: The long pending demand of recruitment of more professors in the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) is soon likely to be fulfilled as a decision has been taken to recruit 111 new professors. The university has been facing shortage of staff for the last few years and the professors were appointed on a contract basis to fulfil the demand.
However, the state government has now approved to fill 111 vacant posts of professors at the SPPU which came as a big relief for the university. According to the officials, the recruitment department will soon survey the applicable reservations of the vacant posts and the recruitment process is likely to start before the end of September. The shortage of staff has been there in the SPPU for the last two years.
This according to the officials will help improve the quality of education in the university and the university rank that has dropped is also likely to improve.
