Pune: Missing Tourist Returns Safely After Pira Mountain Stroll; Suspected Leopard Encounter Proves Unfounded
Maval, 10th September 2023: A person who had gone for a stroll on Pira Hill in Ambi, Maval taluka, was reported missing on Sunday evening, September 10th.
According to available information, Mangrul Dongar (Piracha Dongar), located near Aambi village in the Talegaon MIDC area, briefly became the center of attention when two friends embarked on a hike on Sunday.
During their outing, one of the individuals momentarily went missing, leading to concerns of a potential encounter with a leopard. However, the police did not confirm this incident. Both friends later returned home unharmed, dispelling any apprehensions.
Upon receiving information about the incident, local law enforcement, accompanied by a rescue team, promptly arrived at the scene. It has since come to light that the rumor was, in fact, spread by individuals who were under the influence of alcohol.
