Pune District Collector Steps In To Mediate 7th Heaven Road Closure Issue Involving Defence Department

Dhanori/Lohegaon, 9th September 2023: A crucial meeting was convened today at the Pune District Collector’s office to address the concerns surrounding the road serving the 7th Heaven Housing Society in Dhanori. District Collector Dr. Rajesh Deshmukh chaired the meeting, which aimed to find a resolution to the ongoing road closure issue.

MLA Sunil Tingre said, “7th Heaven Housing Society, located in Dhanori S. No. 4, is home to 174 families. The road leading from this locality to Lohegaon has become a point of contention due to the defence department’s announcement of its potential closure. This announcement has left the society’s residents and the local population in a state of uncertainty and concern.”

Responding to pleas from the housing association’s officials, District Collector Dr. Rajesh Deshmukh initiated the meeting to address the issue. During the meeting, Dr. Deshmukh meticulously examined the documentation provided by both the Defence Department and the Revenue Department. He directed officials from both departments to collaboratively determine the boundary in question through a joint survey.

Additionally, Dr. Deshmukh instructed all relevant administrative officers to work towards resolving the road problem promptly. The meeting was attended by representatives from the Defence Department, officials from the Revenue Department and Land Records Department, as well as members of the 7th Heaven Housing Society.

This gathering signifies a significant step towards resolving the concerns of the residents and ensuring continued access to this vital road for the local community. Further updates on this matter are expected as discussions progress.
