Call for Applications: National Competition for Social Innovators and Entrepreneurs at PIC Social Innovation Lab Pune
Pune, 9th September 2023: The National Competition for social innovators and entrepreneurs, slated to be a pivotal part of the 11th National Conference on Social Innovation (NCSI), is now open for applications. Scheduled for November 17, 2023, at YASHADA, Baner Road, Pune, this annual event is organized by the Social Innovation Lab (SI Lab), the research arm of the Pune International Centre (PIC).
PIC is an independent think tank chaired by distinguished scientist Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar and the Chairman of the 13th Finance Commission, Dr. Vijay Kelkar. The conference is being conducted in collaboration with the National Innovation Foundation and the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS).
Applicants can submit their entries at https://tinyurl.com/NCSI2023 or through the website https://si.puneinternationalcentre.org/. The competition comprises three categories: Urban, Rural, and Tribal, with each category winner receiving a cash award of Rs 50,000. The application deadline is September 15, 2023.
This competition serves as an invaluable platform for social innovators to showcase their groundbreaking innovations in the fields of rural, tribal, and urban development. It also provides a unique opportunity to connect with prominent CSR, grant, donation, accelerator, and impact investors. Participants stand a chance to gain access to the 9-month mentoring program titled the Social Enterprise Mentorship Programme (SEMP) and can leverage PIC’s Social Innovation Lab’s Shared Service Centre for Social Enterprises (SSC-SE).
In previous editions of the conference, social innovators from across India have presented their innovations and reaped the benefits of the extensive support and mentorship offered by PIC’s Social Innovation Lab.
