Pune: DCM Ajit Pawar Directs To Expedite Work For Construction Of Flyover And Installation Of Girder At Vishrantwadi To Solve Traffic Issues
Pune 9th Sept 2023: To resolve the traffic issues at Mukundrao Ambedkar Chowk in Vishrantwadi, plans are underway to construct a flyover and a grade separator. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has given orders to start work on these projects within a month’s period.
A meeting was held at the Council Hall on Saturday morning, chaired by Ajit Pawar, with senior officials from the municipal administration. During this meeting, various topics were discussed, including the solutions to the traffic problems in the Vishrantwadi area. Information was sought about the progress and solutions to the ongoing issues.
A detailed presentation of the project including the construction of the flyover and grade separator at Mukundarao Ambedkar Chowk in Vishrantwadi, to resolve the traffic issues was given to the Deputy Chief Minister in the meeting. Information regarding the measures being taken to address the traffic problems in this area was also shared. The concerns raised during the meeting were also addressed by the administration.
After gathering all the necessary information about this project, Ajit Pawar has ordered the officials to initiate the tender process for this work within a month and has asked to start the work on ground on priority. MLA from Wadgaon Sheri constituency Sunil Tingare, Divisional Commissioner Saurabh Rao, District Collector Rajesh Deshmukh, Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar, Additional Municipal Commissioner Kunal Khemnar, Vikas Dhakane, and other officials were present.
