Pune: Woman Found Dead In Indrayani River, Fire Brigade Dept Recovers Body
Pune 6th Sept 2023: The brigade officials of Pimpri Chinchwad have recovered a dead body of a woman from Indrayani river in Moshi. The woman aged around 50 to 55 years was spotted inside the river by a local citizen.
According to police, a call regarding a woman’s body in the river was received at around 11:40 am on Wednesday. The police and fire brigade team immediately rushed to the spot and the woman’s dead body was retrieved. The dead body has been sent to postmortem and the identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.
“Looking at the condition of the dead body, the woman must have died at least around 5 to 6 hours ago. We are yet to ascertain her identity and more details will be revealed during the further investigation” said police. It is not clear yet whether the woman jumped herself or it was an accident or crime, said officials.
