Pune: MPSC Aspirant Attacked With Sickle On Tilak Road, Three Arrested
Pune 6th Sept 2023: In a shocking incident reported at Tilak Road in the wee hours on Wednesday, an aspirant of Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) was attacked on his way to home from a library. The incident took place at around 2 am near Shakti Sports on Tilak road.
According to police, the 19-year-old complainant was going home with his friend when three unidentified people stopped them and started assaulting with sticks and sickle. The accused assaulted him on head with sickle and later fled from the spot. He was rushed to hospital for treatment.
A case in this regard has been registered at Vishrambaug Police Station under sections 307 and 341 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) along with section 4(25) of the Indian Arms Act and section 37 (1) (3) and 35 of the Maharashtra Police Act. According to police, the three accused have been taken into custody in the case. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
