Pune: Yerwada’s Chhatrapati Shivray Dispensary Transforms Into A Hub For Children’s Development

Yerwada, 6th September 2023: A Childcare Center has been set up at Chhatrapati Shivray Dispensary, located in Nagpur Chawl, Yerwada, Pune. This pioneering project in Pune is set to have a significant positive impact, especially for young children residing in the area.

Dr. Siddharth Dhande, the former Deputy Mayor, spearheaded this initiative in collaboration with the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and the Urban 95 Foundation. Both organizations played a pivotal role in bringing these programs to fruition.

The inauguration event witnessed Dr Dhande providing valuable guidance, with notable attendees including Namdevrao Ghadge, medical officer Dr. Priti Varpe, and Sandbhor, President of the Senior Citizens Association, accompanied by their respective teams. The event was efficiently organized by Kailas Ranpise, Vijay Kamble, Gajanan Jagade, Hemant More, and Pratap Dhumal.

The center is set to offer a range of classes, including Garbha Sanskar for expecting mothers, Hirakani classes for children, and Virangula classes tailored for senior citizens. Additionally, plans are already in motion for the construction of a parking facility at this location.

Pune Municipal Corporation and Urban 95 Foundation have introduced several beneficial programs, including the establishment of the Child Care Center in Ward No. 2, aimed at benefiting the younger population. The infant, toddlers and their caregivers (ITC) center is set to provide vital healthcare services, with a focus on women’s healthcare, according to officials.
