Indian Army Pays Tribute To Pune Soldier Hav Dilip Balasaheb Ozarkar
Pune, 5th September 2023: Today, the Indian Army paid heartfelt tributes to Hav Ozarkar Dilip Balasaheb, a resident of Bhavani Peth, Pune, who sacrificed his life tragically while towing Artillery Guns, just 13 kilometers short of Khalsi, Leh on September 3, 2023.
The mortal remains of this courageous soldier were transported to Pune via an Air India flight on Monday night. Upon arrival at the airport, senior Army officers laid wreaths to honor him. The mortal remains were then taken to his hometown, Bhawani Peth, Pune, where his final rites were performed, and a solemn Guard of Honour paid tribute to the braveheart.
Hav Ozarkar Dilip Balasaheb had enlisted in the Army in 2004 and was serving with the 94 Medium Regiment of the Regiment of Artillery. He is survived by his parents, wife, son, and daughter.
