Pune: National Green Tribunal’s Western Zone Bench Completes 10 Years

Pune, 25th August 2023: The National Green Tribunal (NGT), Western Zone Bench at Pune completed 10 years on 25th August 2023. The Bench caters to the environmental disputes in the states of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa. The NGT Bar Association (Western Zone) had organized a small function to commemorate the milestone.

The program was compered by Adv Shivshankar Swaminathan. The welcome address to the gathering was made by the Advocate Saurabh Kulkarni, President, NGT Bar Association (Western Zone).

In his address, he thanked the erstwhile members of the Tribunal. He also mentioned the landmark decisions of the Pune Bench. His address was followed by other members including that of Adv. Asim Sarode, the Vice President and Adv. Mansi Joshi, the Treasurer.

The Judicial Member well as the Expert Member also addressed the gathering and mentioned the responsibility of everyone towards the environment. The function was organized by the Association and attended by senior members Adv. Rahul Garg, Adv.Raghunath Mahabal, Adv.Supriya Dangare, Adv.Aniruddha Kulkarni etc. amongst others.
