Pune: Silver Ornaments Worth Rs 1.12 Lakh Stolen From Temple, Case Registered

Pune 25th August 2023: A temple priest has lodged a complaint with Pune City Police regarding a theft of silver ornaments from a temple in Katraj area. The police have booked an unidentified person in the matter.

According to the complaint registered with police, unidentified people broke a door lock of Chamunda Bhavani Temple located in the Bhilarewadi in Katraj on the intervening night of August 22 and 23. The thieves have stolen silver ornaments worth Rs 1,12,050 from the temple.

A case in this regard has been registered at Bharati Vidyapeeth Police Station under sections 454, 457 and 380 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Further investigation in the matter is underway.
