Pune : Short Spell Of Rain And Roof Of Metro’s Civil Court Station Starts Leaking
Pune 23rd August 2023: The commuters at the Civil Court Metro Station were in a shock on Tuesday after they noticed the leaking roof of the metro station. This came just after a short spell of rain and people wondered what the situation would be if the city witnesses a heavy downpour. The incident raised serious concerns on the quality of work done at the Metro stations.
The Metro officials had installed barricades as a precautionary step at a few spots near the escalators where the water had started accumulating. The leakage was also noticed on the platforms causing inconvenience to the commuters. Civil Court Interchange Metro Station is India’s deepest Metro station and this is the only station where two different lines including elevated and underground lines of Pune Metro connect.
The Metro officials have advised the concerned authorities to check the problem at all the Metro stations and they have been asked to repair the same immediately.
