Pune: PMPML Launches Tourist Bus Service On Deccan Gymkhana-Temghar Dam- Nilkantheshwar Temple Route
Pune, 20th August 2023: The tourist bus service initiated by the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) is swiftly gaining traction among visitors. Today, the newly introduced tourist bus service, numbered 3 on Deccan Gymkhana-Temghar Dam- Nilkantheshwar temple route, was inaugurated with the PMPML Chairman and Managing Director Sachindra Pratap Singh giving the green signal.
The launch event was attended by various dignitaries including Chief Transport Manager (Operation) Satish Gavane, Labor and Public Relation Officer Satish Gate, Traffic Planning Officer Vijay Ranjane, Depot Manager of N.T. Wadi Depot Santosh Kirve, and Depot Manager of Pune Station Depot Sanjay Kusalkar.
The air-conditioned e-bus for Tourist Bus Service No. 3 was flagged off from PMPML’s Deccan Gymkhana bus stand. The inaugural ride accommodated 25 tourists on its maiden journey.
Taking inspiration from the successful Pune Darshan bus service, PMPML has introduced 7 tourist bus routes covering significant religious and tourist destinations in proximity to Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad cities. This special ‘tourist bus’ service, operated using air-conditioned buses, operates on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays every week since May 1, 2023. The ticket fare for this ‘Tourist Bus’ service is set at Rs 500 per passenger.
Addressing the gathering, CMD Sachindra Pratap Singh, encouraged pilgrims, tourists, and citizens to make the most of the cost-effective air-conditioned tourist bus service provided by PMPML. He urged citizens to choose the PMPML’s bus service over private vehicles.

- First and Last Bus Stop: Deccan Gymkhana Bus Station.
- Ticket Price per Passenger: Rs 500
