Amid Rising Cases Of Accidents On Pune-Solapur Highway RTO Conducts Survey To Find Problems
Pune 18th August 2023: The officials from the Regional Transport Office (RTO) have conducted a survey on the Pune-Solapur Highway to find out problems amid rising cases of accidents on the road. A detailed report in this regard has been submitted to the District Collector who leads the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) in Pune.
Along with RTO, officials from National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), Local police were also present while conducting the survey. The officials have pointed out various problems and reasons causing accidents on the road and the report has been forwarded to the district collector. According to reports, District Collector Rajesh Deshmukh has asked the concerned authorities to take recommended measures mentioned in the report to curb the accidents on the highway.
It may be noted that a series of accidents are reported on this highway involving heavy vehicles. Several people have lost their lives in these incidents and the locals have been demanding a proper solution to the problem. The officials have said that the concerned authorities have been asked to carry out works recommended in the report which according to them will help in reducing the number of accidents.
