From Police Donor to Indian Army Hero: AICTS Pune’s Sixth Heart Transplant Success
Pune, 14th August 2023: In a remarkable feat, Army Institute of Cardio Thoracic Sciences (AICTS, Pune) has achieved its sixth successful heart transplant.
The organ, generously donated by a Maharashtra Police personnel, was procured from Ruby Hall Clinic, Pune. The fortunate recipient, a 46-year-old Indian Army JCO, underwent the life-saving procedure.
The seamless transfer was facilitated by a Green Corridor, skillfully coordinated by Pune Traffic Police and Southern Command Provost Unit.
This achievement not only underscores medical advancements but also highlights the spirit of cooperation among various entities in the pursuit of saving lives.
