Lonavala, 30th July 2023: As the weekend arrived, tourists flocked back to Lonavala, and the famous Bhushi Dam witnessed a surge in visitors since morning. However, the situation also raised concerns about the safety of some tourists engaging in risky activities.

Despite repeated warnings from the police, some tourists took life-threatening risks by swimming in the Bhushi Dam. Unfortunately, the Lonavla city police were not present at the dam during these incidents.

The weekend saw a significant influx of tourists, with popular spots like Lions Point, Tiger Point, and Bhushi Dam attracting large crowds. As the region experienced foggy weather, tourists from different parts of the state and abroad flocked to Lonavala to enjoy the misty ambiance.

Although the amount of rain has reduced in Lonavala, the enthusiasm of the tourists remains undeterred. Many were seen sitting in the overflowing water on the steps of Bhushi Dam, cherishing the rainy season. The entire area around Bhushi Dam was engulfed in fog, creating a picturesque sight.

While enjoying the weather, tourists relished local delicacies such as hot bhaji, corn, vada pav, and tea, which added to the charm of the experience.

While the weekend brought joy and excitement to Lonavala, authorities continue to emphasize the importance of responsible tourism and adhering to safety guidelines, ensuring the well-being of all visitors.
