Pune: Over 16K Potholes Filled Since June 1 This Year, Claims PMC
Pune 27th July 2023: The Pune Municipal Corporation’s road department has claimed that the civic body has filled over 16,747 potholes between June 1 and July 26 this year and majority of potholes on the city roads are already filled. The municipal Corporation has come extensive work on pothole filling in the last 56 days, officials said.
According to reports, a total of 17,193 potholes were identifed on city roads this year of which 16,757 have been filled by July 26 while only 446 potholes are remained to be filled and they are also being filled on priority.
Earlier the road department had instructed the local ward offices to fill the potholes in their areas and accordingly the necessary fund was also allocated. The civic body has claimed that over 90% of the potholes on the city roads have been filled this year.
