Hadapsar, 24th july 2023: Hadapsar police have issued a stern warning to landlords in the area regarding the legal obligation of reporting tenant information when renting out properties. Failure to comply with this directive could result in serious legal consequences.

In recent incidents, the police discovered that several landlords had neglected to submit vital tenant details to the authorities, as required by law. This negligence has raised concerns about the potential risks to public safety and national security.

Senior Police Inspector Ravindra Shelke emphasized the importance of promptly reporting tenant information, stating that it is not only a legal requirement but also crucial for the well-being of society. Instances of violence within rented premises have escalated the need for such compliance.

To address this issue effectively, the Hadapsar police have released a public notice, urging all landlords to register their tenants with the police station and provide all necessary documentation, including character certificates. The notice highlights the significance of safeguarding society and emphasizes the collective responsibility for ensuring the safety of all individuals.

“We take this matter very seriously, and it is vital for landlords to understand the implications of not reporting accurate tenant information. Neglecting to do so can create potential risks and jeopardize the security of the entire community,” warned Senior Police Inspector Ravindra Shelke.
