General Manager Conducts Inspection of Pune Station and Yard Remodeling Work

Pune, 22nd July 2023: The General Manager of Central Railway, Naresh Lalwani, led an extensive inspection of Pune station and the ongoing yard remodeling work on Saturday, July 22.

Accompanied by Divisional Railway Manager Indu Dubey, Additional Divisional Railway Manager Brijesh Kumar Singh, Chief Project Manager of Gati Shakti Unit, Prakash Upadhyay, and several other officers from Pune division, Naresh Lalwani meticulously assessed the progress of the yard remodeling project.
The inspection encompassed the examination of passenger amenities at Pune station, as well as a thorough review of the yard remodeling plan for various sections, including those near Wadia Bridge and Alankar Bridge.
Additionally, the General Manager inspected the electric tripshed and the proposed plan for introducing the 3rd and 4th lines between Pune and Lonavala section, aiming to bolster railway capacity and efficiency.
In individual meetings with branch officers, Naresh Lalwani discussed the initiatives taken by them to enhance railway operations and address challenges effectively. He issued detailed instructions to ensure the safety of train operations and stressed the significance of high-quality inspections conducted by officers.
Emphasizing the paramount importance of safety in train operations, the General Manager advised officers to make frequent field visits and closely supervise the quality and quantity of inspections carried out by their subordinates.
