Ticketless Passenger Pelt Stone At TC On Pune-Nanded Express At Daund Railway Station, TC Receives 8 Stitches On Head

Pune 21st July 2023: In a shocking incident reported on Pune-Nanded Express, a ticketless passenger pelted stone at a Ticket Checker (TC) after he was confronted for travelling without ticket. The incident took place at Daund Cord Line on Thursday.

According to railway officials, senior Ticket Checker Dharmaveer Kumar Subuklal was doing his job on Pune-Nanded Express. As he was checking tickets of passengers at S1 coach of the train, he spotted a person sleeping on the upper berth of the train. When asked to show ticket he said that he is a railway employee but when the TC asked him to produce identity card to prove the same he failed and started arguing with him.

The accused got down of the train at Daund Cord Line after having a dispute with the TC. However, as the train started moving further he pelted a stone at TC in which he sustained serious injuries on his head. Another ticket checker on board provided primary treatment to injured TC and he was later taken to hospital as the train reached Ahmednagar.

According to railway officials, TC Dharmaveer Kumar received 8 stitches on his head. A case in this regard has been registered at Ahmednagar city police station and the identity of the accused is yet to be ascertained.
