Over 4.49 Billion COVID-19 Infections Reported In India, Health Ministry Confirms
New Delhi, 19th July 2023: According to the latest update from the Union Health Ministry, India reported 49 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of infections to 4,49,95,004. The active cases have risen from 1,453 to 1,464 compared to the previous day. The death toll stands at 5,31,915 as of 8 am today.
The national COVID-19 recovery rate stands at an impressive 98.81 per cent, as stated on the health ministry’s website. A total of 4,44,61,625 individuals have successfully recuperated from the disease. The case fatality rate remains steady at 1.18 per cent. Additionally, the country has administered a total of 220.67 crore doses of the Covid vaccine as part of the nationwide vaccination drive.
