Pune: Five Construction Sites Fined For Mosquito Breeding In Nigdi

Nigdi 15th July 2023: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has increased action against construction sites responsible for mosquito breeding leading to dengue outbreak in the twin city. In the latest action, the PCMC officials have fined five construction sites at Bhel Chowk, Nigdi.

 

A fine of Rs 2,000 each was imposed on the four construction sites while a fine of Rs 8,000 was imposed against one construction site by the PCMC officials. The municipal corporation has stated a special drive against the construction sites and notices are being issued.

 

According to health officials of PCMC, over 1,000 suspected patients with Dengue symptoms have been reported in Pimpri Chinchwad this year. The civic body has appealed the construction site owners and citizens to cooperate in the initiative by keeping the surrounding areas clean to avoid mosquito breeding.
