Pune: Jilted Lover Attacks Girl For Refusing Proposal, Case Registered
Pune 13th July 2023: The Pune City Police have arrested an IT engineer for attacking a woman in Koregaon Park area for refusing his proposal. The accused identified as Sanket Shahaji Mhaske (26) has been arrested by police in the matter.
According to police, the accused and victim woman know each other for the last few months. The 36-year-old woman was seperated with her husband and works at a company in Kharadi. The accused earlier proposed her but she refused saying she can be a good friend with him and cannot fall in love.
However, the accused continued to follow her following which she blocked him on mobile and refused to be in touch. On Wednesday when the woman had come to meet her friend in Koregaon Park the accused came there and started arguing with her for ignoring him. This further escalated and the accused hit her on head due to which she started bleeding. He fled from the spot after this incident.
The victim woman has lodged a case with Koregaon Park Police Station in the matter and police are investigating further in the matter.
