Pune: Chartered Accountant Arrested For Murder Conspiracy
Pune 11th July 2023: The Pimpri Chinchwad Police have arrested a Chartered Account (CA) for conspiracy to kill his business partner. The details of alleged conspiracy revealed during the interrogation of contract killers arrested for former municipal councilor and president of Janvikas Samiti Kishore Aware’s murder.
According to police, the accused CA identifed as Vivek Nandkishor Lahoti (42) had paid Rs 50 lakh through a woman to contract killers to kill his business partner due to misunderstandings between them. Police have also arrested the woman in the case.
The accused had purchased a pistol from contract killers arrested in Kishore Aware’s murder. During the investigation, police team traced the chartered accountant and seized the pistol from his possession. The investigation team interrogated both CA and contract killers arrested in the case after which the murder conspiracy was revealed. The accused confessed that he had some dispute with his business partner over a land deal due to which he wanted to kill him.
Further it was also revealed that the contract killers had conducted recce of a construction site in Satara where the CA’s business partner visits on every Saturday and Sunday. The police have now arrested the CA and another woman accused in the case and they are investigating further in the matter.
