Pune: Auto Driver Arrested For Threatening Traffic Cop And Attacking Self With Blade

Pune 11th July: The Pune City Police have arrested an auto rickshaw driver for allegedly attacking self with a blade to scare the woman traffic constable who was taking action against his auto rickshaw for parking it in the No Parking area. The incident took place near Pune Railway Station on Monday.

According to police, the accused had parked his auto in No Parking area and the traffic personnel were taking action for violation. The accused snatched the e-Challan Machine from the woman constable and threatened her. Later to scare her he even attacked himself with a blade.

The traffic personnel then called the local police and the accused identifed as Khandu Mahadev Waghmare (23), a resident of Yerwada was taken into custody. A case in this regard has been registered at Bundgarden Police Station under relevant sections and police are investigating further in the matter.
