Pune: Youth Dies By Suicide After Losing Rs 20,000 In Junglee Rummy
Maval, 11th July 2023: A distressing incident of online Junglee Rummy gambling has recently emerged in Pune, shedding light on the darker side of virtual card games. A young man has lost his life after succumbing to financial losses. The unfortunate event occurred on Sunday night in the Talegaon Dabhade area of Pimpri Chinchwad.
The deceased has been identified as Ganesh Somnath Kaldante, a self-employed cab driver. It has been revealed that Ganesh battled alcohol addiction and had also fallen into the trap of online Junglee Rummy. On the fateful night, while the rest of the family was at home, Ganesh took his own life by hanging himself in his bedroom.
Family members became concerned when Ganesh did not respond to their calls from outside his room. Their worries grew, prompting them to break down the door, only to discover the heart-wrenching sight of Ganesh’s lifeless body. The police investigation has uncovered that the young man’s suicide was directly linked to his substantial loss of twenty thousand rupees in online Junglee Rummy.
The Talegaon police are currently conducting further investigations into this distressing incident, aiming to gather more information surrounding the circumstances and implications of Ganesh’s tragic demise.
