Pune: Fatal Hit-and-Run Incident Claims Youth’s Life Near Yerwada Mental Hospital
Yerwada, 10th July 2023: A tragic incident occurred on Commerzone road in Yerwada, resulting in the death of a young man after being struck by an unidentified vehicle. Paresh Sunilgalial (26), a resident of MHADA in Yerwada, lost his life when he was crushed by the vehicle near the Mental Hospital in Yerwada on Sunday night.
According to the Yerwada police station, the control room received a report about the accident around 8 pm on Sunday. The information revealed that a young man riding a two-wheeler was found lying in a pool of blood with severe injuries on the road near the mental hospital.
Sadly, the victim died instantly from a severe head injury caused by a heavy impact from an unknown vehicle. The incident drew a large crowd to the spot, and due to a delay in the arrival of an ambulance, traffic in the area was disrupted for approximately an hour.
The exact circumstances of the accident remain unclear at this time. The body has been sent to Sassoon Hospital for post-mortem examination, and Yerwada Police are conducting further investigations.
