Pune: Engineering Students Protest At SPPU Against Rescheduling Of Exams
Pune 8th July 2023: The students of various engineering colleges affiliated to the Savitribai Phule Pune University on Saturday held a protest against the university administration for rescheduling the exams of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence & Data Science. The protest was led by National Students’ Union Of India (NSUI).
The university has rescheduled the exam after the students were provided wrong question papers adding to their confusion as most of the questions were out of the syllabus. According to officials, the students of Computer Science were distributed question papers of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science while students of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science were distributed the question papers of Computer Science. This all happened as the exams for both were held on the same day on June 27.
The university officials admitted their mistakes and announced to reschedule the exam on July 10. However, the students’ organisation opposed the move and said that the university should give marks to the students directly instead of rescheduling the exams since it was not their fault.
