Pune, 5th July 2023: The Land Records Department in Maharashtra has introduced the ‘e-Hakk’ system to facilitate various important tasks, including the registration of heirs, reduction of deceased individuals’ names, and loading and unloading of bank loans on Satbara Utara (7/12 land extracts). This online platform not only allows applicants to submit their applications conveniently but also provides a mechanism to rectify any errors in the application form.

Previously, applicants had to submit alteration registration applications to Talathi. However, the state government has now made the e-Hakk system available, eliminating the need to visit the Talathi office. Over two crore online transactions have already been recorded through this system, with around twenty-six and a half lakh entries based on the registered list.

Here’s how the application process works:
Visit the website and select your district, taluka, and village.
Fill in the necessary details for the modification application.
The application will appear in the Talathi login after submission.
Upon approval, the relevant changes will be recorded by the Talathi.
Applicants will receive information through SMS regarding the progress of their applications. If an application is accepted, an SMS notification containing the modification number will be sent. In case of any errors, the applicant will receive an SMS requesting them to correct the application. Therefore, the e-Hakk system not only simplifies the application process but also provides real-time updates through SMS.

Sarita Narake, the State Director of the Information Technology Cell in the Revenue Department, encourages those seeking regular modifications to utilize this online facility. The e-Hakk system offers nine types of online documents, including registration of inheritance, diminishing the name of the deceased, debt burden management, registration of e-contracts, and more.
