Pune: Police Parade Youth Arrested For Brandishing Weapon In College Premises

Pune 1st July 2023: The Pune City Police have arrested 19-year-old student for brandishing a sickle inside the Appasaheb Garware College in the city. The video of youth brandishing the weapon to create terror in the college premises had gone viral on internet.

Soon after the video went viral, the police team swung into action and the student identified as Kunal Kangude, a resident of Khilarewadi was arrested in the case. The city police after arresting the accused paraded him in the same premises where the incident took place last week.

Last week, Kangude and his associates had a dispute with a student at Appasaheb Garware College and they entered inside the college premises with sickles. While coming out from the college campus they were seen brandishing the weapons to create terror among the other students. The city police have tried to send out a message among the students by parading Kangude in the same area that the criminal activities will not be tolerated.

A case in this regard has been registered at Deccan Police Station under relevant sections and the police are searching for more accused who are wanted in the case.
