The film surpassed the opening record of Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, starring Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan, which had earned approximately Rs 5.25 crores nett on day 1. However, it remains to be seen if SatyaPrem Ki Katha can maintain its performance in the long run, like Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, which continues to draw audiences to theatres even after a month since its release. Despite a smaller budget, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke has already crossed the Rs 80 crore mark at the box office.
