Pune: Aurum Elementto Housing Society Faces Waterlogging Crisis For Over Seven Years, Urgent Intervention Required

Lohegaon, 27th June 2023: Residents of Aurum Elementto Housing Society, located on Porwal Road near Orchid Hospital in Lohegaon, have been enduring severe waterlogging issues for the past seven to eight years. Despite continuous follow-ups with the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), no substantial solutions have been implemented to alleviate the problem.
Dhiraj Dahale, the Chairman of Aurum Elementto Housing Society, expressed his frustration with the lack of action, stating, “Every time we reach out to PMC for assistance, we receive promises but no concrete solutions. The waterlogging issue has persisted for years, and if the blockage is not promptly addressed, approximately 250 families will be subjected to this relentless problem.”
The long-standing waterlogging crisis has had a significant impact on the daily lives of the society’s residents. During heavy rainfall, the streets and common areas become inundated with stagnant water, hindering mobility and posing health risks. The situation is especially dire for those residing on the ground floors, whose homes are prone to flooding.
PMC have been repeatedly urged to take urgent measures to resolve the waterlogging issue. However, the lack of action has left the residents disillusioned and desperate for a lasting solution.
As the waterlogging issue continues to plague Aurum Elementto Housing Society, the residents are hopeful that the PMC will come out with concrete solution. With the monsoon season on, a swift resolution is imperative to prevent further distress and potential damage to the affected families.
The residents remain united in their demand for immediate intervention and are resolved to persistently pursue this matter until a sustainable solution is implemented.
