Pune Water Park Horror: 6-Year-Old Girl Dies in Drowning Incident, FIR Registered Against Manager And Owner
Ravet, 15th June 2023: A tragic incident took place at Sentosa Water Park in Ravet, Pimpri Chinchwad, as a 6-year-old girl lost her life by drowning. The unfortunate incident occurred on Wednesday at approximately 2 pm.
Police have registered a case against the manager and owner of the water park for their alleged failure to provide necessary safety measures.
According to the police, the young girl, accompanied by her mother and brother, visited Sentosa Water Park on Wednesday. While playing in the designated area, the child drowned around 2 pm.
Following the incident, the grieving mother lodged a complaint with the police. The complaint highlighted the absence of life jackets for children in the play area and the lack of signboards indicating the pool’s depth.
Furthermore, the complaint mentioned the absence of railings at the pool’s bottom and the non-availability of lifeguards at the time of the tragedy. The mother firmly asserts that her daughter’s drowning was a result of the water park’s failure to comply with safety regulations.
Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case under sections 304 (a) and 34 against the water park’s manager and owner. Police are investigating the matter to gather further information and evidence.
