Pune: Demand For Immediate Release Of Chasakman Water In Vel River

Talegaon Dhamdhere, 28th May 2023: In Talegaon Dhamdhere, taluka Shirur the villagers have made a strong demand for the release of Chaskaman water from the Vel River. Four days ago, water was released in the dam of Bhairavanathnagar in Shikrapur and Talegaon Dhamdere. But, suddenly the water of Chasakman was stopped from above.

Due to this, the Talegaon Dhamdhere area was deprived of water supply. Water was only partially released in the Kolhapur-style dam at Bhairavanathnagar. The dam was partially filled and the water was suddenly shut off. From there, farmers and villagers have been deprived of water.

At present, due to the acute water shortage in the Talegaon Dhamdhere area, the problem of drinking water for citizens and animals has become serious. The area is experiencing hot summer and the temperature is increasing day by day.

Meanwhile, the villagers and farmers who depend on Chasakaman water are hoping to release the water into the Vel River once again. The water level of wells and fuel wells in the area has gone deep. The villagers of Talegaon Dhamdhere have strongly demanded that the water of Chasakman should be released into the river immediately and the dams in the area should be filled and the water problem of the citizens should be solved.
