Pune: Armed Robbery Targets Film Junior Artists Near Avenue Mall in Wanowrie
Wanowrie, 28th May 2023: In a disturbing incident near Avenue Mall, four armed individuals attacked and robbed three young junior artists associated with the film industry. The victims have been identified as Imran Khan, Harsh Nathe, and Jishan Patni. Imran promptly lodged a complaint at the Wanowrie police station on Friday.
According to the police, Imran and his companions were enjoying tea at a stall near the mall on BT Kawade Road when one of the suspects initiated a confrontation with Khan. Seizing the opportunity, the other three culprits approached from behind the tea stall and forcefully deprived Khan of his mobile phone by threatening him with a sharp weapon. The assailants then proceeded to rob Khan’s two friends of their mobile phones and a sum of Rs 19,600 in cash.
The victims, still in a state of shock, continued with their work commitments following the incident. After completing their shoot, they immediately lodged a First Information Report (FIR) at the Wanowrie police station. The police are actively investigating the case, and the probe is currently underway.
