Candidate Arrested for Submitting Fake Certificate in Pune Rural Police Recruitment

Pune, 27th May 2023: The Chatushringi police station (Pune city police) have apprehended a candidate who was found to have submitted a fake certificate during the recruitment process of the Pune Rural Police Force.

The arrested individual has been identified as Sachin Bhimrao Waghmode, a resident of Laxman Takli, Pandharpur in Solapur district. Sub-Inspector Vinayak Dadas-Patil of Bhigwan Police Station filed a complaint at Chatushringi Police Station, leading to Waghmode’s arrest. The recent recruitment process for the Pune Rural Police Force headquarters on Pashan Road had been concluded, with candidates required to submit an Educated, Unemployed, Part Time (PTE) certificate. Those who successfully passed the field and written examinations were selected based on merit.

The responsibility of document verification for the selected candidates was assigned to Sub-Inspector Vinayak Dadas-Patil. Upon examination, suspicions arose regarding the authenticity of the certificate submitted by Waghmode. The police conducted inquiries at the tehsil office in Beed, where it was revealed that the certificate had not been issued to Waghmode by the said office. Consequently, a case was registered against Waghmode, leading to his arrest. The investigation is currently being carried out by Police Sub-Inspector Bhalerao.
