Increased Maximum Temperatures Announced By IMD In Next Four Days In These States; Check Details Here

New Delhi, 20th May 2023: According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), hotter summers are anticipated to begin in central India from today (May 19). Starting today, maximum temperatures in Northwest and Central India may rise by 2-4 degrees Celsius.

Between Saturday and Tuesday, May 20-23, the current heatwave event will predominantly impact isolated areas in south Uttar Pradesh, west Rajasthan, and north Madhya Pradesh.

The IMD predicts that over the next four days, the temperature in northwest India would rise by 2-4 degrees Celsius, then drop by 2-4 degrees. Over the following three days, central Indian states like Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh will gradually witness a rise in temperature of a couple of degrees Celsius, with no further noteworthy changes.

Similar to this, Maharashtra and central India’s maximum temperatures won’t shift significantly. Over the next 48 hours, there won’t be much of a change in the maximum temperature in eastern India; nevertheless, there will be an increase of 2-3 degrees. According to the IMD forecast, there shouldn’t be any appreciable changes in the maximum temperature across the rest of India over the following five days.

On May 20 and 22, isolated areas of south Uttar Pradesh are anticipated to experience heatwave conditions throughout May 19–23. On May 20–21, there will be heatwave-like conditions in north and west Madhya Pradesh. Between May 21 and May 23, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh will experience an increase in temperature.

In addition, states like Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and other Konkan regions should expect high temperatures and extremely humid air throughout the next five days.
